Security and Compliance

Security and Compliance

Industries like financial service providers, accountants and even manufacturing have a certain form of mandated compliance. Every business that takes credit cards has to be compliant with PCI standards.

Security is a requirement but, too much security can impede production by adversely affecting performance and data accessibility.  More is not necessarily better but too little can be dangerous.  Since there are performance and budget costs associated with implementing security it is important that your security system is right sized and effective.

More or Less In Future

Do you think there will be more or less compliance in the future?  Regardless of industry, we should think there will be more in the near term.

Hardware/Software Lifecycle Management.

Even if we didn’t have compliance, we should consider swapping out equipment, systems, software in order to stay competitive – as long as we feel we got our last nickel out of it.

Security Training.

Even if we have to comply with PCI compliance, or HIPAA compliance – those standards and updates happen once a year.  When you think about security, and social hacking – those standards change daily.  Educate your team, stay current on security trends and help protet you and your people.

Email Signature Branding.

Not really a security issue; but certainly from a branding initative – we have to stay compliant with our message, our brand.  Standardize email signatures is a way to get there.

What Our Clients Have To Say

“Difficult situation, happy to have Chris on our team!  Thanks for all of your support.  Your team has been outstanding (as always).”

“I’m glad to be using NIW – I hear horror stories of bad customer service and excuses from my clients about their IT and I’m saying – you should be working with Now IT Works.”

“While you can get technology from a number of places, the key element is who is delivering the service?  We just found that the commitment for delivering the product was there they have the technology, they have the skills”

“Working in a partnership allows us to increase our efficiencies within the office and make sure that everything is up to date and it really helps us to plan our road-map as to where we are going.”
